The Penguin

Designs for Telltale's Batman season 1. Oswald Cobblepot was already designed and modeled before I joined. This was definitely an exercise of how to reinvent the wheel. For Oswald's skinny frame, I really wanted to inject as much of the Penguin's classic iconography as I could. Most suggestions were rejected but fun to explore nonetheless. The tux, the emperor penguin silhouette of his coat, yellow bowtie giving a nod to the yellow necks of male emperors, and the umbrella were all cut. The plague doctor mask stuck at least. Most revisions came down to very minimal costume tweaks.
